Sharon Sexton

Sharon Sexton is an Irish, award-winning West End performer. She trained at Dublin’s Conservatory of Music and Drama, holds an MA in Theatre Directing, and most recently graduated from the London Voice College.
Sharon is best known for originating the role of Sloane in Bat Out of Hell: The Musical (2017), performing the role in London’s West End, Toronto, Germany, and the New Zealand and Australia Arena Tour. Her acclaimed performance earned her the West End Wilma Award for Best Performer in 2019 and she reprised the role for the international theatrical cinema recording.
Other favourite roles include Donna in MAMMA MIA! (International Tour), Alternate Janis in the West End production of A Night With Janis Joplin, and Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar with the Bergische Symphonic Orchestra
Additional West End credits include the original cast of The Commitments (Palace Theatre) and Billy Elliot (Victoria Palace). In Ireland, she has performed widely, including Nancy in Oliver! at Wexford Opera House, Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde, Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Lily St. Regis in Annie at Dublin’s National Concert Hall. She starred as the title role in Jane Eyre The Musical, Conchita in Copacabana, Yellow Girl, in SHOUT, and Shannon in IRISH The Musical for the American network PBS.
Sharon is one half of Sexton & Fowler, whose debut album Then Our Eyes Met launched at London’s Crazy Coqs last year. Alongside performing, she teaches with the London Voice College and runs The Science of Singing, supporting vocal performers worldwide.
