Peter Nigrini is an American projection designer celebrated for his innovative contributions to live theatre and beyond. He earned his BA from Dartmouth College and an MA in scenography from Central Saint Martins in London. Nigrini is a founding member of Nature Theater of Oklahoma, designing every visual element for productions like No Dice, Romeo and Juliet, and Life and Times. On Broadway, his projection work includes shows such as Here Lies Love, MJ: The Musical, Beetlejuice, Ain’t Too Proud, The SpongeBob Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, A Doll’s House, Part 2, Amélie, An Act of God, The Heidi Chronicles, Fela!, The Best Man, 9 to 5: The Musical, and Hell’s Kitchen. His designs have earned him multiple Tony nominations, a Drama Desk Award for Here Lies Love, and the inaugural Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Projection Design; in 2024, he won the Drama Desk Award for Hell’s Kitchen.
